Besides a few issues and update fixes, KB 2825630 also brings some new features that appeal to me:

  • Presence Indicator
  • Spell Checker
  • Paste Unformatted

Spell Checker
More noteworthy is the introduction of Spell Checking, its enabled on installing the update and can be toggled in Lync – Options


When typing a message in the IM window the spell checker will check for misspelled words and underline any found. By right clicking on the work you are presented with a corrected version as well as the option to add to dictionary



Paste Unformatted
The ability to copy and paste content directly into an IM window is really usefull. Right click in the message area and paste special (Ctrl-V also works!)
